AIP Publishing and Hebei University of Technology Collaborate on a New Journal



AIP Publishing has joined forces with Hebei University of Technology (HEBUT) to create an innovative open access journal titled 'Harmonics and Scattering' (HAS). Officially set to launch in March 2026, the journal aims to serve as a leading international platform for advancing the research fields of optics, photonics, and materials science.

Set to accept submissions starting in December 2025, 'Harmonics and Scattering' will delve into groundbreaking studies related to harmonic generation, scattering phenomena, light-matter interactions, and nonlinear optical processes. This diamond open access publication will not only provide free access to its content for readers worldwide but will also entail no article processing charges (APCs) for authors, promoting inclusivity and engagement in scientific discourse.

Helming the journal is Professor Zhiwei Lü, who currently leads the Center for Advanced Laser Technology at Hebei University, and serves as the Deputy Director of the Laser Professional Committee of the Chinese Optical Society. His vision for the journal is to publish pioneering research that pushes the boundaries of existing knowledge and fosters practical real-world applications, a goal that directly aligns with the mission of AIP Publishing.
