His previous roles also include serving as the Director of Intergovernmental Relations and Interim Chief of Staff for the Norfolk County Sheriff's Office in Massachusetts. Furthermore, Casey has a history with notable political figures, having worked as Chief of Staff to Massachusetts State Senator Richard J. Ross and Deputy Chief of Staff to U.S. Senator Scott Brown.

Casey holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Roger Williams University and has elevated his understanding of trade and policy through the Mastering Trade Policy program at Harvard Kennedy School.
