Z Squared Expands AI Infrastructure with Arkansas Campus Acquisition

Z Squared Inc. has announced a major strategic move by acquiring Paradox Data, LLC, alongside its energized Union County Campus located in El Dorado, Arkansas. This acquisition marks Z Squared's entry into the ownership of an energized campus, crucial for advancing its AI colocation business.

The Union County Campus is powered by an existing electrical supply arrangement with Entergy Arkansas, LLC, capable of supporting approximately 8.0 MW. This current power setup serves as a foundational point for Z Squared as it transitions towards high-density capacity developed for customers who utilize their own computing resources.

In addition to the existing electric service, Paradox Data has the potential to acquire adjacent properties, allowing for a future development path targeting over 150 MW of capacity designed specifically for AI applications. This ambitious plan will be realized through securing additional utility power, negotiating power generation onsite, and fulfilling customer commitments alongside financing and permitting processes.

David Halabu, the CEO of Z Squared, mentioned in a previous communication with shareholders about measuring objectives related to the acquisition. The completion of this deal demonstrates that the company is on track to achieve its goals, such as signing its first paying tenant and expanding the existing energized capacity beyond 8 MW.

Following the acquisition, Z Squared's immediate plans for the Union County Campus encompass the design of high-density electricity and cooling systems, planning for utility and on-site generation, progressing with adjacent land acquisition, and securing initial customer service agreements. To facilitate these efforts, the company has partnered with A2 Advisors, a strategic advisory firm specializing in digital infrastructure. Their assistance will focus on crucial areas such as site development planning, project delivery, vendor partnerships, and capital strategy within the campus.

The Union County Campus is part of Z Squared's broader Phase 1 goal to establish 100 MW of AI-ready capacity across various U.S. locations. The company's strategy emphasizes acquiring sites with existing power supply and converting them into facilities that can serve AI workloads effectively. Z Squared is determined to scale this initiative by deploying resources judiciously, ensuring that development is in line with customer contracts and operational readiness before proceeding to investment.

The acquisition of the Union County Campus was executed entirely through stock, emphasizing Z Squared's prudent approach to finance this expansion without incurring debt, which is an integral strategy for sustainable growth. The company intends to report progress against specific benchmarks as it moves forward with its plans.
