About 'Hamigaki Samurai'


Written by Yasunori Kidani and illustrated by Aya Watanabe, the story follows a determined character named Momonosuke who aspires to become Japan's top "Hamigaki Samurai." Momonosuke faces the challenge of charming and playful battles against various lazy animals who dislike brushing their teeth.

Author Information


Writer: Yasunori Kidani
Hailing from Ishikawa Prefecture, Kidani graduated from Kanazawa College of Art and went on to complete his master's degree at Tokyo University of the Arts. He has authored several books, including "Zukou Kotoba de Kangaeru" among others.

Illustrator: Aya Watanabe
From Saitama Prefecture, Watanabe graduated from Musashino Art University with a focus on design. Her colorful illustrations can be seen in other children's books such as "Gomenyasai" and several from the "Oyasai Seikatsu Ehon" series.
