Scheduled for June 28-29, 2025, this exciting celebration will take place at the Haneda Airport Garden, a state-of-the-art complex located directly connected to Terminal 3 of Haneda Airport. Hosted by Sumitomo Realty & Development Co., Ltd., the event promises a delightful blend of music, workshops, and culinary treats from Okinawa!

Event Highlights


This two-day event will feature participation from three key cities: Naha, Urasoe, and Miyakojima, each showcasing their unique tourist attractions and cultural heritage. With free admission, attendees can look forward to a variety of engaging activities suitable for families and travelers alike.

  • - Workshops: Guests can partake in workshops to create traditional Okinawan instruments and learn about traditional craft-making techniques.
  • - Music Performances: Experience captivating live performances, including the spirited Eisa dance from Ryukyu National Festival Drummers, and traditional songs performed by local artists.
  • - Culinary Delights: A special exhibition of Okinawan cuisine and local products will allow attendees to taste the island's unique flavors.

June 28 (Saturday)


  • - 13:00: Eisa performance by Ryukyu National Festival Drummers
  • - 14:00: Traditional singing performance by Kinjo Color and promotional activities by Naha Tourism Ambassador Noa Hamada
  • - 15:00: Another Eisa performance
  • - 16:00: Second singing session by Kinjo Color
  • - 17:00: Showcase of Miyako folk songs
  • - 12:00 - 15:00 / 16:00 - 18:00: Craft drum-making workshop (1,000 yen fee)

June 29 (Sunday)


  • - 13:00: Ryukyu dance performance by Takumi and Ayaka with Naha's tourism promotion
  • - 14:00: Okinawan POPs performance by Yanbara-Miyagi
  • - 15:00: Another Ryukyu dance performance
  • - 16:00: Further Okinawan POPs session
  • - 12:00 - 15:00 / 16:00 - 18:00: Continuation of drum-making workshop

Naha City


The capital of Okinawa, Naha is known for its bustling streets filled with local shops and stunning historical sites like Shuri Castle. Campaigning for local events such as the Naha Great Tug-of-War Festival and the NAHA Marathon, visitors will find traditional sweets and unique crafts available at the Naha booth.

Urasoe City

Miyakojima City

In addition to the Discover Okinawa event, an Okinawa Fair will concurrently occur from June 1 to August 31 within the Haneda Airport Garden. This fair will present exclusive Okinawan dishes and offer various local beers for tasting. Attendees can also enjoy displays of traditional Okinawan textiles, cultural exhibits, and tourist information.
