Coconut Glen's New Strawberry Flavor from Kyushu's Amaou Strawberries Launches in Japan

Exciting News from Coconut Glen!

Coconut Glen, famous for its gourmet plant-based ice creams, is set to launch a new strawberry flavor made with perfectly ripened Amaou strawberries from Fukuoka prefecture, as well as a unique craft rice flour cone starting January 9, 2026. This new strawberry flavor will be available for a limited time and marks the first time that this popular Hawaiian flavor will be sold in Japan.

The strawberry ice cream, described as a luxurious and exclusive plant-based treat, incorporates the signature sweet-tart taste and vibrant aroma of the Amaou strawberries. Known for their distinct qualities, the Amaou strawberries are harvested at their peak ripeness to deliver a juicy and fresh flavor. The coconut-based formulation of this ice cream is dairy-free, egg-free, and free from preservatives, ensuring a remarkably smooth and creamy texture that is hard to forget.

Upon the first bite, you'll experience the delightful balance of the fresh sweetness from the Amaou strawberries harmonizing seamlessly with the rich yet gentle notes of organic coconut milk. This combination creates a “memorable strawberry ice cream” that has garnered immense popularity at their Maui headquarters. Customers can enjoy a scoop for just 580 JPY (600 JPY at the Araha store) during the limited sale period.

Craft Rice Flour Cone

In addition to the strawberry flavor, Coconut Glen introduces its newly developed craft rice flour cone. Unlike traditional cones, this new cone is designed to complement the ice cream perfectly, enhancing the overall taste experience. The craft rice flour cone features a light, toasty texture, allowing for a harmonious experience that can be enjoyed until the very last bite.

Carefully sourced ingredients include rice flour from Kumamoto, almond powder from the USA, and maple syrup from Canada. The use of rice flour adds a lightness and richness that distinguishes it from wheat cones, while the unique combination of ingredients aims to create a delicious flavor experience that can stand alone.

The pricing for the cone upgrade will be an additional 200 JPY and will be available at selected stores starting January 9, 2026.
