The 2026 edition of the Furniture China and Maison Shanghai trade fairs has wrapped up successfully in the vibrant district of Pudong, Shanghai. Organized by the Chinese National Furniture Association (CNFA) and IM Sinoexpo, this year marked the 31st International Furniture Fair in China, concluding on a high note with impressive attendance figures.
Significant Attendance
Running from September 7 to 11, the fairs were held at the New International Expo Center (SNIEC) and the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center (SWEECC). With a massive exhibition area of 350,000 square meters spanning 50 exhibition halls, the events attracted
180,448 visitors from
184 countries and regions, highlighting a robust
10.3% increase compared to the previous year.
Among the attendees, an impressive
37,394 were international guests, marking a
14.6% growth in foreign attendance. Notably, the majority of these visitors came from Asia (53.82%), excluding the Middle East, and Europe (21.26%), with South Korea, Russia, and Japan being prominently represented. Domestic visits also soared to
143,054, the highest numbers from Shanghai as well as Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces.
Industry Insights
The attendees included professional buyers, designers, and project institutions, accounting for over three-quarters of all visitors. Specifically,
25.43% of participants were looking for suppliers and partners,
24.79% sought market insights,
21.14% explored new products and trends, and
11.49% placed orders on-site. This convergence illustrates the fairs’ role as a comprehensive platform for all facets of the furniture industry.

Furniture China 2026 showcased the entire value chain of the furniture industry, featuring over
1,000 global brands and manufacturers that directly supply to customers. The offering spanned international brands, original designs, upholstered furniture, outdoor and commercial furnishings, materials, and intelligent production solutions.
Simultaneously, Maison Shanghai expanded discussions around design, lifestyle trends, and the future of living spaces, with well-curated exhibitions and presentations from brands specializing in original design, emphasizing the emphasis on unique aesthetic experiences.
