By initiating power generation earlier, vehicles can maintain adequate battery levels without the usual dependency on higher RPMs. Consequently, this reduces the likelihood of undercharging, enhancing reliability for essential electrical components like ignition and lighting which, in turn, improves overall vehicle performance and reduces the risk of electrical failures.

Additionally, the new J180 and pad mount configurations are designed to be both smaller and lighter than traditional high-output alternators. This reduction in size does not compromise power output; instead, it contributes to greater fuel efficiency by diminishing the load that alternators impose on the engine.
