Kirin Beverage Launches Heatstroke Prevention Initiative with Cooling Food Truck in Fuchu City

Kirin Beverage Tackles Heatstroke with Innovative Initiatives

In the sweltering summer of 2026, temperatures in Fuchu City, Tokyo, exceeded 40°C, raising alarms about heat-related health risks. As part of an ongoing public health initiative, Kirin Beverage Co., led by President Hiroshi Inoue, is actively promoting measures to counter heatstroke through their innovative “Chill Support Food Truck” campaign. This initiative, launched in 2026, seeks to raise awareness and provide relief amid the scorching heat.

The “Cooling Food Truck” Event: A Chance for Relief

On June 26, the “Chill Support Food Truck” made its debut in Fuchu City at Hikari to Kaze no Hiroba, a public square near Fuchu Station. During the event, attendees received complimentary heatstroke prevention drinks. Kirin distributed approximately 1,000 bottles of specially designed beverages, aiming to educate the public on ways to alleviate heat-related risks. However, due to inclement weather, the subsequent event initially scheduled for June 27 was postponed and will be rescheduled to July 31.

This food truck is a collaborative effort spearheaded by the Heatstroke Prevention Awareness Project, supported by various corporate partners. It travels to different hot environments such as schools, construction sites, and community events, promoting heatstroke awareness while providing suitable heat safety products.
