Deltek Strengthens Leadership Team

In a strategic move to bolster its leadership, Deltek, a leading intelligent platform for project-centric businesses, has announced key senior appointments that will enhance its executive capabilities as the company continues its transformation journey. Heather Larkin has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), while Tracy Schampers has transitioned into the role of Chief Legal and Administrative Officer, expanding her responsibilities significantly.

Heather Larkin Joins as CFO

Heather Larkin comes to Deltek with over twenty years of extensive financial expertise, having previously held senior roles in major enterprise software firms. Known for her strong background in Software as a Service (SaaS) transformations and cloud finance operations, Larkin will be pivotal in driving Deltek's financial strategies. In her new role, she will oversee the company's entire finance function, ensuring robust financial planning and analysis to support the continued growth and innovation of Deltek's platform.

Bob Hughes, Deltek's President and CEO, expressed confidence in Larkin's capabilities: "Heather is the type of innovative leader we need at this crucial time. Her experience and strategic insight will be invaluable as we advance our platform and enhance our artificial intelligence capabilities, ultimately improving our offerings for project-based organizations worldwide."

In her own words, Larkin noted the importance of her new role: "My objective is to build a solid financial foundation that supports Deltek's innovation agenda and strengthens our relationships with clients by earning their trust through excellence in financial stewardship."

Tracy Schampers Elevated to Chief Legal and Administrative Officer

Tracy Schampers has been with Deltek for years, previously serving as the Chief Legal Officer. Her elevation to Chief Legal and Administrative Officer reflects her proven ability and trust within the company. In this expanded role, she will not only manage legal and compliance functions but also oversee Human Resources, Enterprise Security, and Technology Services.

Bob Hughes praised her contributions: "Tracy has guided our company through critical legal and business decisions. With her leadership, we can expect faster and more aligned decision-making processes that will benefit both our employees and clients.”

Transitioning Leadership

The appointments proceed as part of a planned leadership succession, marking the retirements of Mike Krone, the former CFO, and Ed Hutner, the previous Chief Human Resources Officer, both instrumental in Deltek's growth over the past decade. Hutner’s retirement took effect on July 1, 2026. Krone will remain with the company until the end of Q4 2026 to assist in ensuring a smooth transition for Larkin.
