Mars Halloween Headquarters Hosts Exciting Halfway to Halloween Celebration in Topeka

On May 14, 2026, the Topeka community will come alive with spooktacular festivities as Mars, a prominent name in Halloween treats, celebrates Halfway to Halloween. This annual event is designed to mark the midpoint in the countdown to Halloween and has become a cherished tradition over the past three years.

In collaboration with the North Topeka Arts and Entertainment District (NOTO) and GO Topeka, Mars is hosting a vibrant celebration at Redbud Park from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM CDT. Attendees can expect a delightful evening filled with trick-or-treating, delicious Mars snacks, live music, and local food vendors. According to Brian Pardo, Site Director at Mars Topeka, the anticipation leading up to Halloween is one of the highlights for the company, and they are thrilled to extend this tradition to the local community once again.

The Mars Topeka facility, which opened in 2014, is celebrated for producing a variety of iconic Halloween treats such as TWIX®, M&M’S® Peanut, and SNICKERS® among others. The expansive site spans over 550,000 square feet and currently provides jobs for more than 600 associates, making it a vital part of the local economy.

Rhiannon Friedman, President of GO Topeka, underscores the importance of such community events, noting, "Mars is a tremendous employer and community partner." She emphasizes that the Halfway to Halloween celebration not only strengthens community ties but also showcases the commitment Mars has towards the Topeka region.

Staci Schnacker, Arts Administrator for NOTO, echoes similar sentiments, highlighting that events like this create avenues for local families, artists, and neighbors to engage and enjoy the unique spirit of Topeka. "This event reflects our mission to cultivate art and experiences that inspire opportunity and enhance economic vitality," says Schnacker.

Besides Halloween festivities, the event will feature special appearances from beloved characters and an assortment of engaging activities. Families can partake in free trick-or-treating with delectable treats provided by Mars, alongside Cheez-It® products produced locally in Kansas City.

In addition to the fun and excitement, attendees can expect a lively atmosphere characterized by local artists and performers, further enriched by the cultural diversity of the community. The Halfway to Halloween party is not just about the festivities; it acts as a celebration of the ongoing growth and positive impact that Mars has on the region.

This event exemplifies Mars' commitment to giving back to the community and fostering a playful and inclusive environment for everyone. As the countdown to Halloween or the anticipated spooky season continues, the Halfway to Halloween event at Redbud Park promises to be an unforgettable experience, bringing a sense of joy, camaraderie, and celebration to Topeka.
