Carrier Global Corporation Reaches Tree Planting Milestone on Earth Day 2026

On April 22, 2026, Carrier Global Corporation, a leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, proudly announced a significant milestone in its environmental initiative. This Earth Day, the company disclosed that it has successfully funded the planting of over one million trees, contributing towards its ambitious goal of planting five million trees by 2030. This effort is part of their broader commitment to enhance both air quality and global sustainability.

The collaboration with the Arbor Day Foundation has been pivotal in this initiative, allowing Carrier to support reforestation projects in crucial ecosystems around the world. In 2025, the initiative advanced the restoration of approximately 1,700 acres across various regions, demonstrating a strong commitment to combating environmental degradation.

Among the exciting projects supported by Carrier last year were reforestation efforts in the Amazon Rainforest, the Cauvery River Basin in India, and farmland in Kenya. Each project was carefully chosen to maximize ecological impact and promote biodiversity in areas that have been severely affected by human activity.

Additionally, Carrier's employees played an integral role in these local efforts, contributing nearly 500 hours in volunteer work across nine global tree-planting events. The initiative also involved public participation, allowing customers and members of the community to vote on the final reforestation project for 2025, which focused on restoring wildfire-damaged land in California.

The environmental benefits of this initiative are substantial. Initial estimates suggest that the foundation of one million trees will sequester approximately 939,518 metric tons of carbon dioxide and remove about 2,045 tons of air pollutants over time, contributing significantly to combating climate change.

Looking ahead, Carrier has announced plans to continue this momentum in 2026 by supporting 14 new reforestation projects. To further engage the community and involve stakeholders in its mission, Carrier is also planning annual global volunteer events and educational webinars in collaboration with the Arbor Day Foundation.

A poll will be available later in the year to allow stakeholders to help choose one of the tree-planting locations for 2026, reinforcing the collective effort to combat climate issues.
