Uniting Community Through Celebration at Higher Purpose Fest 2026 in Clarksdale

The Higher Purpose Hub (HPH) is excited to announce the return of the Higher Purpose Fest, set to take place from August 6 to 8, 2026, at the Coahoma County Higher Education Center in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Now in its fourth year, the festival has expanded into a three-day event celebrating music, food, and wellness, culminating in a significant milestone as HPH celebrates a decade of impactful community work in the Mississippi Delta region.

This year's festival is more special as it integrates HPH’s leading events - the Community Market, the Business Summit, and the Awards Gala - into a single unifying weekend. This unique setup aims to create an all-inclusive gathering that caters to a diverse audience, embracing families, food enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and creative minds alike.

Dr. Tim Lampkin, the Founder and Executive Director of HPH, expressed his vision stating, "Ten years ago, we embarked on a mission to forge a new future for the Mississippi Delta, one that highlights the brilliance, resilience, and joy of our community. The Higher Purpose Fest embodies this vision by merging our core activities in a way that honors the progress we've made while looking toward a promising future."

Event Schedule

The three-day celebration consists of a variety of activities appealing to all ages and interests:

Attendees can enjoy a vibrant atmosphere with live music, delicious food offerings, and well-being activities. Culinary shows featuring local talents such as Talisa Shivers and Turnip Todd will captivate food lovers, while hands-on gardening workshops will engage those eager to learn. Music lovers can dance to beats spun by DJ Amber Love, alongside live performances from local acts.

Friday, August 7, 2026: Business Summit (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM)

The Business Summit serves as a platform for entrepreneurs and creatives to gain valuable insights. Kicking off with a keynote from Ameka Coleman, named the U.S. SBA Person of the Year, participants will be inspired by the wealth of knowledge shared. The Summit will host several expert panels covering pivotal themes including music, food entrepreneurship, and wellness, featuring notable figures from their respective industries.

The night promises entertaining performances by acclaimed artists including Grammy-winning R&B star Raheem DeVaughn, and will be highlighted by celebrity DJ Traci Steele.

Dr. Lampkin reinforced the significance of the festival, remarking, "This event exemplifies the power of community investment. From engaging local artists at the Community Market to inspiring entrepreneurs during the Business Summit, each moment is a celebration of excellence and commitment to our local changemakers."
