Schell Brothers Hosts First Parade of Homes: A Month of Giving Back in Middletown

Schell Brothers: Community-Centric Month of Giving

This September, Schell Brothers is transforming the traditional Parade of Homes into a month-long celebration that not only showcases exquisite home designs but also benefits the local community in Middletown, Delaware. The homebuilder, renowned for its commitment to innovative living spaces, is hosting its inaugural Parade across three Saturdays at Monarch, featuring four of its signature model homes: The Bridgeport, The Cassidy, The Chesapeake, and The Shearwater.

A Unique Concept

Unlike typical home showcases, this event is designed to create an inclusive atmosphere where community members can gather, explore beautiful homes, and engage with local culture. Alyssa Titus, Director of Marketing for Schell Brothers, emphasizes that this initiative aims to deliver more than just impressive homes; it’s about cultivating community spirit and raising funds for significant causes.

"We could have simply opened four beautiful homes and called it a Parade of Homes, but that didn't feel like us," Titus stated. "We wanted people to come out, enjoy themselves, experience Monarch, and, at the same time, support organizations doing meaningful work. That’s what excites me the most."

The Events and Their Impact

Dine & Design - September 12, 1–5 p.m.

The first event, scheduled for September 12, will feature local food vendors and showcase superior home design, with ticket proceeds benefiting the Delaware Restaurant Foundation. This event provides an opportunity for attendees to merge culinary delights with design inspiration in a comforting gathering.

Monarch Soundcheck - September 19, 1–5 p.m.

On the following Saturday, guests can enjoy live musical performances, providing a vibrant backdrop as visitors explore the homes. Proceeds from this event will support the Gibby Everett Foundation, reinforcing Schell Brothers’ commitment to local charitable efforts.

Pours for Nemours - September 26, 1–5 p.m.

The series culminates on September 26 with Pours for Nemours, where attendees can indulge in local beers and spirits while contributing to Nemours Children's Hospital. Each of these events not only showcases the homes but also strengthens community connections and support for worthy causes.

Experiences That Delight

As guests tour the four model homes, they will be captivated by the diverse charm and professionally designed interiors of each property. With an eye for detail and craftsmanship, Schell Brothers invites visitors to gain fresh ideas as they explore the unique features of each home. Titus noted, "Building houses is our business, but fostering happiness and community connection is at the core of our values. If we can introduce people to Monarch, support local businesses, and raise funds for essential causes all at once, that’s a pretty great Saturday."
