Aboda Design Inc. Launches Innovative Modular Housing Facility in Colorado

Aboda Design Inc. Opens New Modular Housing Factory in Colorado

Aboda Design Inc., a leader in prefabricated housing solutions, has announced the grand opening of its new housing factory located in Pueblo, Colorado. This facility marks a significant step toward addressing the pressing housing needs in the state. Funded by a $4 million loan through Proposition 123 from the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA), the factory aims to deploy innovative construction methods that provide quality affordable housing.

The decision to inaugurate the Aboda Pueblo factory reflects Colorado's commitment to finding sustainable solutions to its housing challenges. Governor Jared Polis emphasized the necessity of diversifying construction strategies to combat the housing shortage, saying, "There is no one solution to solve our housing shortage which is why we are investing in many different ways to build more housing, including innovative modular solutions."

Scheduled to commence full-scale production in the first quarter of 2025, the factory has already generated excitement among local officials. Colorado Springs Mayor Yemi Mobolade expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "I'm thrilled Aboda has chosen downtown Colorado Springs for its corporate headquarters," highlighting his dedication to enhancing local housing solutions and partnerships.

Aboda's newest factory is being equipped to accelerate the production of multi-unit housing projects aimed at meeting the diverse needs of Colorado's communities. With advanced prefabrication techniques and a sophisticated virtual design process in place, this factory aims to revolutionize the way housing is constructed in the state. Fedja Jovanovic, CEO of Aboda Design, Inc., noted, "CHFA's vision and support through Proposition 123 fuels our mission to redefine housing possibilities across Colorado."

The factory's modular design approach offers a unique advantage, allowing for aesthetic diversity across various projects while significantly mitigating budget and schedule risks. The Pueblo factory will cater to a wide array of residential and mixed-use structures designed to align with client specifications and environmental standards.

Additionally, Aboda has partnered with BiltWise Structures, Inc., a seasoned modular manufacturer, and The Challenger Group, a reputable developer, to enhance their capacity to deliver affordable housing across Colorado.

Aboda Pueblo's proximity to Colorado Springs opens a new hub for clients, where they can directly engage in the design process. This factory is set to streamline the collaboration between developers, builders, and municipalities, further ensuring the delivery of homes that the residents can afford.

In line with the sustainable initiatives of Proposition 123, which advocates for the expansion of affordable housing, Aboda aims not just to meet current demands but also to anticipate future housing needs driven by the growing population in Colorado. As the state addresses the challenge of accessibility in housing, Aboda's mission stands clear: deliver high-quality modular homes that are within reach for all Coloradans.

Through innovative construction methodologies and strong community partnerships, Aboda Design Inc. is poised to make a profound impact on the state’s housing landscape, providing solutions that are both effective and sustainable. As they prepare for the factory's operational launch, the agency remains steadfast in its commitment to delivering the precision that modern housing demands while also prioritizing affordability for families across Colorado.
