Cultivating Career Awareness Through Experiential Learning
From November 6th to 7th, 2025, Dormy Inn Osaka Tanimachi will host a unique career experience program named "DOMINISTA CHALLENGE," specifically designed for students from Osaka Municipal Higashi Junior High School. This initiative, organized by Kyoritsu Maintenance Company, aims to introduce middle school students to the world of hospitality through hands-on activities during their two-day visit.
Understanding the DOMINISTA CHALLENGE
Launched in 2019, the DOMINISTA CHALLENGE has welcomed students from over 70 schools across Japan to participate in immersive career experiences. By engaging with various hotel functions—such as front desk service, cleaning, and bed-making—students gain insight into the less-visible aspects of hotel management and understand the dedication of those working in the industry. This program also fosters a sense of community as students interact with guests, helping them appreciate the value of cooperation and service.
In today's globalized society, working in a hotel presents an opportunity for students to learn about multicultural coexistence, broadening their perspectives and cultural understanding. The program significantly contributes to their career education by instilling a sense of professional identity and local pride.

Comments from the Hotel Manager
Ryoki Yamauchi, the manager of Dormy Inn Osaka Tanimachi, conveyed his honor in being selected as a host for the career program. He emphasized the importance of "hospitality spirit" and teamwork, inviting students to understand the joy of customer satisfaction while deepening their awareness of professionalism and responsibility. The staff is committed to ensuring each student's time is both educational and enjoyable.
The Importance of Career Education in Today's Society
In an era marked by economic uncertainties and a declining population, providing students with tangible experiences that illustrate the meaning and enjoyment of work is essential. There is a pressing need for future generations to develop a fondness for the communities they grow up in and to actively engage in solving local challenges. Through the DOMINISTA CHALLENGE, Kyoritsu Maintenance aims to cultivate empathy, pride in one’s work, and a thoughtful approach to community involvement among young participants.
