EmVenio Expands Clinical Research with New Site in Chicago
EmVenio Clinical Research has recently announced the opening of a dedicated community research site at the Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. This initiative is part of a broader partnership launched in 2024 with Prime Healthcare, which operates this hospital as well as several others across the United States. The collaboration aims to enhance patient access to clinical trials and promote involvement from diverse populations.
Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital is now the fifth Prime Healthcare facility nationwide to benefit from EmVenio's research capabilities, allowing local physicians to engage in important clinical studies. This is a significant development for the community, as it not only connects patients to important research but also builds a bridge between healthcare providers and scientific inquiry.
The mission of both EmVenio and Prime Healthcare focuses on conducting reliable clinical research that includes populations from various backgrounds, financial statuses, and health conditions. With this new site, physicians at Saint Mary can present research participation as a potential option for patients, thereby increasing awareness and opportunities for involvement in clinical studies.
According to Dr. Mark McKenzie, chief medical officer at EmVenio, "This new research center within Prime Healthcare allows EmVenio to bridge physical, cultural, and systemic gaps and ensure our research reflects the necessary voices." He emphasized that the strategic location in Chicago allows the research team to effectively engage and enroll patients from both routine and complex populations, thereby generating findings that can be relevant for a broader audience.
To facilitate further collaboration and engagement, EmVenio is offering pre-study visits for contract research organizations (CROs) and trial sponsors. These appointments will enable potential partners to tour the research site, meet the on-site team, and understand the site's strategic focus on various therapeutic areas, which is critical for the success of clinical trials.
Since the partnership began in 2024, EmVenio has successfully opened research centers at Prime hospitals in major urban regions such as Dallas, Atlanta, Kansas City, and Detroit. The expansion into Chicago marks another milestone in their ongoing efforts to enhance community-centric clinical trials.
An open house is scheduled for November 13, 2025, from 4-6 PM at the Chicago location, inviting interested parties to learn more about the initiatives and services offered by EmVenio at Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital. The address for the event is 610 S. Leavitt Ave, Chicago, IL 60608, and all community members are encouraged to attend.
