What is the AIMVERSE?

AIMVERSE represents an infinite world of creativity that exists in parallel dimensions. AIM62, also known as Yasuhiro Maehara, describes his current reality as AIMVERSE1, while the world inhabited by his beloved characters is tagged AIMVERSE248. The characters of AIM62's imaginative universe come alive in a creative space where the artist aims to share his visions and interpretations through his artwork. It is a playful exploration of identity, culture, and the very fabric of creativity.

AIM62's Artistic Journey

In his teenage years, AIM62 was heavily influenced by street culture, which sparked his passion for art and design. His artistic journey gained momentum in 2019 while studying in Hawaii, where diverse colors and design languages intertwined with Japanese pop culture to mold his unique creative style. One of his standout projects, AIM62 Trading Cards, showcases his commitment to crafting intricate pieces that reflect his love for handmade artistry.

Yasumasa Yamagahara, the curator for this exhibition, shares his deep admiration for AIM62's work, which traces its origins back to graffiti. Drawing inspiration from street art's unfiltered expressions, AIM62 has carried on the tradition of engaging with his raw emotions and personal dialogue through art.
