Empowering Students through Financial Education Workshops in Tokyo
The Financial Education Support Organization of Japan, represented by co-chairs Risa Hirai and Nana Abe, is thrilled to announce the organization of the workshop series titled 'Path to FES Contest® in Tokyo', dedicated to enhancing financial literacy among middle and high school students. This educational initiative will span across
six venues in Tokyo, with a commitment to accommodate approximately
200 participants over a total of
seven sessions. Originally planned for only two venues, the overwhelming response has led to a significant expansion, which now includes additional locations in Suginami and Nerima wards.
This workshop not only serves as an educational platform but also as an opportunity for students to produce short videos that they can submit as part of the contest, helping them to earn proof of participation. Specifically, spots for the morning session in Suginami and the Nerima venue have already reached full capacity. Therefore, those interested are advised to register as soon as possible.
The FES Contest, which stands for Financial Education Support Contest for Student, encourages middle and high school students to create engaging one-minute vertical videos that simplify essential financial concepts into relatable lessons for younger audiences, such as elementary school students. This unique initiative fosters a broader understanding of finance across generations.
The workshops are powered by enthusiastic university student volunteers, who are members of the FES Contest University Operations Committee. This
