Tokyo En-Joy! Senior Health Sports Festival
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has initiated various programs to promote the health and community engagement of seniors, especially in an era where longevity is prevalent. As part of these efforts, the "Tokyo En-Joy! Senior Health Sports Festival" is set to take place again this year, aimed at enhancing health and fostering friendships among the senior generation.
Last year, approximately 2,700 athletes participated in various competitions, showcasing their skills across activities like running, throwing, kicking, and more. Notably, over 150 entrants were aged 85 and above, demonstrating that elderly citizens can thrive in sports while having fun. This event is an excellent opportunity for senior participants to put their practice to the test and enjoy a vibrant sports experience. We encourage everyone to join!
In addition, the festival will also serve as a promotional platform for the upcoming 39th National Health and Welfare Festival, "Nenrin Pic Chōju Tokyo 2028," scheduled to take place in 2028. Information booths will be available at the festival to stir interest and momentum for this future event.
