The Exciting Puma 'GO WILD' Campaign Kicks Off with '5AM HIGH DROPS' in Tokyo

Puma's 'GO WILD' Campaign Unfolds with '5AM HIGH DROPS'

On May 11, 2025, Puma Japan Co., Ltd., headquartered in Shinagawa, Tokyo, launched an exciting event called '5AM HIGH DROPS' in line with their global campaign 'GO WILD.' This initiative took place early in the morning around the iconic Tokyo Skytree, alongside a running session with the local community, 'Team Nitro,' at 8:00 AM.

What is the 'GO WILD' Campaign?

Since March 2025, Puma has been rolling out its largest global campaign to date, titled 'GO WILD.' The underlying theme stresses that the true value of sports is not solely in victory, but in the enjoyment of expressing oneself freely. The campaign encourages athletes of all backgrounds to unleash their inner passion.

For more details, visit the campaign's special site: Puma GO WILD or watch the promotional video here.

Additionally, Puma has launched a podcast series featuring brand ambassadors discussing various topics related to the campaign. The first guest was the legendary Usain Bolt, sharing fascinating stories from his life.

The Unique Concept Behind '5AM HIGH DROPS'

The '5AM HIGH DROPS' event marks an extraordinary global experience reflecting the 'GO WILD' theme. Simultaneous events occurred in major cities worldwide, including New York, London, and Mexico City. The choice of Tokyo Skytree, a symbol of height, perfectly encapsulated the essence of 'HIGH' at 5 AM. Participants raced to the designated area based on hints posted on social media and shouted the phrase 'GO WILD!' to win Puma's latest running shoes. The first two participants received the new racing models, 'FAST-R NITRO ELITE 3' and 'DEVIATE NITRO 3.'

Participants Speak Out

Many attendees shared their experiences and motivations behind joining the run. One participant mentioned, “I started running after my daughter was born, wanting to do something as a dad, and I got hooked on it. Morning runs clear my mind and help me work better throughout the day.” Another shared, “I love running and chatting with everyone. It’s great to run together in the fresh morning air.” For some, running signified a way to maintain health, connecting with nature and enjoying beautiful views during their runs.

'GO WILD RUN SESSION' Complements '5AM HIGH DROPS'

Following '5AM HIGH DROPS,' 'GO WILD RUN SESSION' kicked off at 8 AM, hosted by Team Nitro. Starting from Cafe LATTEST, located in Sumida, Tokyo, participants enjoyed a 5-km course surrounded by like-minded individuals. Special guests included Puma athletes and social media influencers, such as Tsuyoshi Ichiyama, who achieved a remarkable top finish in the Tokyo Marathon held in March 2025, and popular YouTuber Tamujyo.

Ichiyama emphasized the importance of morning runs by stating, “Running in the morning helps reset my mindset and ensures I have a productive day ahead.” Tamujyo echoed this sentiment by saying, “Having a good morning positively impacts the whole day, making morning runs wonderful.”
