Seminar Objectives
In recent years, the Japanese government and the Tokyo Stock Exchange have set a goal for listed companies to have at least 30% female executives by 2030. Institutional investors and proxy advisory firms are increasingly calling for the appointment of female board members as part of their voting standards. As of June 2025, the ratio of female executives in listed companies was still only 14.2%. While the number of external female executives is rising, internal promotions in prime-listed companies remain stagnantly low at about 10%.
During the seminar, attendees will learn strategies for identifying external female executives along with tips on promoting women internally within their organizations. One of the highlights will be an introduction to our AI Search platform designed for finding female executive candidates. Additionally, there will be discussions on how ongoing revisions to the Corporate Governance Code may impact the selection of external board members.
Important Notes
This seminar is targeted specifically at corporations. Those seeking to become external board members or candidates should register instead for our seminar “How to Become an External Board Member? 2026 - Required Attributes and Specific Steps”, which is available in video format.
