Unique Experiential Jewelry Event Mille Debuts in Osaka This August

Unique Experiential Jewelry Event Mille Debuts in Osaka

The highly anticipated experiential jewelry event, Mille, will be hosted at the Osaka Nakanoshima Museum on August 29 and 30, 2026. With a powerful theme of "Celebrating Chains of Blessings for a Thousand-Year Future," this unique exhibition promises to be a memorable experience for all visitors.

Main visualized by actress and artist Minami, Mille is designed to engage the public in a way that shifts the traditional jewelry exhibition's focus from mere sales to a rich interactive experience. The event is FREE to enter, allowing visitors to explore the world of gemstones and jewelry without any prior commitment.

Upon entering, attendees will receive a Gemstone Omikuji (fortune-telling paper) and can draw a natural stone, which they can take home. With over 1,500 gemstones from more than 50 varieties available, participants can experience the fascination of jewelry firsthand, symbolizing a shift in how jewelry is perceived—moving from a product solely for purchase to a beloved experience.

A New Approach to Jewelry Exhibitions

For years, jewelry showcases have typically catered to existing clients and encouraged purchases on the spot. However, Fukuya, the hosting company, seeks to reshape this narrative. Founded in 1932 in Kobe, the company has spent nearly 94 years supporting customers through major life events. As they approach their 100th anniversary, they want to promote a new philosophy of connection and experiences through the Mille event, breaking barriers to introduce jewelry to new audiences. It is about not just buying but falling in love with gemstones.

Treasure Stone Experience

One of the highlights of Mille is the Treasure Stone activity where participants can dig for real gemstones using a remote-controlled excavator. For just ¥1,500 per session, visitors have a set time to uncover their stone and take it home. Depending on their success, they might even win precious gems like diamonds, rubies, sapphires, or emeralds. This hands-on experience allows guests to engage actively, creating precious memories associated with jewelry.

Jewelry Re-Design | Connecting Generations

Mille also aims to revive and reinvent inherited jewelry through personalized redesigns. Isuzu Watanabe, a seasoned designer, is set to provide on-site redesign consultations, encouraging participants to infuse new life into their cherished pieces. The notion of connecting generations through jewelry embodies Fukuya's mission throughout its storied history.

Two Brand New Jewelry Lines Premiere

Mille will also witness the debut of two new jewelry lines: ANiMA and KNOT&.

  • - ANiMA, produced by the talented artist Minami, will showcase a collection themed on the theme of Life Hidden in Caves, encapsulating the journey of life from creation to its cosmic return through organically designed jewelry. The initial collection, BIRTH, will be revealed during the event.

  • - KNOT& is a fresh brand emphasizing the narrative carried by gemstones. Focusing on the act of “binding” rather than just being in a connected state, it captures the stories born from the interplay of stones and motifs.

Special Guest: Kaori Aoshima

Furthermore, the event will feature a special appearance by Kaori Aoshima, the innovator behind the Emerald Method (Aoshima Method) of ear acupressure reflexology. After training across various countries, she will introduce her unique and holistic treatment approach, promising an enlightening experience for attendees.
