Beat the Summer Heat with Tottori Watermelon's Seasonal Delights!

Welcome to the Sweet Season of Tottori Watermelon!

As summer approaches, Tottori Prefecture, renowned for its high-quality watermelon, is set to launch its peak season. From June 5th, the first auction of this year's juicy, large-sized watermelons took place in the Tokyo metropolitan area, with sales expected to peak from early June to early July. To provide an opportunity for residents outside of Tottori to enjoy these delightful watermelons, the “Tottori Okayama Shinbashi-kan” antenna shop in Shinbashi, Tokyo, is all set to sell cut watermelons and whole ones.

In addition, from June 20 to July 4, a limited-time eat-in space known as the "Engawa" will be installed at the shop for customers to refresh themselves with the delicious taste of Tottori watermelon. This cool share spot is perfect for a break during hot summer days, providing a comfortable place to enjoy the sweet fruit and prevent heatstroke.

Dive into Deliciousness at the "Engawa"

Beginning June 20, visitors can enjoy Tottori’s freshest offerings at the Engawa. This unique eat-in area features cut watermelon and cute watermelon pudding among other treats, allowing guests to indulge in Tottori watermelon at its finest. The benches installed are crafted from timber sourced from Tottori, so visitors can appreciate the region’s rich woodlands while unwinding. Watermelon is known to be hydrating, rich in sugars, and filled with minerals like potassium, making it an excellent choice for heatstroke prevention during the rising temperatures of summer.

Make sure to stop by and experience the refreshing taste of Tottori’s seasonal watermelon!
