Bandora Revolutionizes Energy Management with Major Win
Bandora, a cutting-edge SaaS platform harnessing machine learning to optimize building energy use, has been announced as the victor at the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) CEO Summit's startup pitch competition held in Lisbon. This achievement grants Bandora a coveted spot in the Eureka Park at CES 2026, the leading exhibition hub for startups in Las Vegas.
The competition featured noteworthy innovation across various sectors, including health, energy, artificial intelligence, and entertainment. In front of a distinguished panel of investor judges—comprised of Rita Branco from 3xP Global Investments, Cintia Mano from COREangels, Tomás Penaguião from Bynd Venture Capital, João Pereira from Digital Portugal Ventures, and Diogo Teixeira from Beta-i—Bandora was able to showcase its unique technology.
Founded in 2017, and driven by the mission to enhance the sustainability, autonomy, and comfort of buildings, Bandora has quickly emerged as a key player in the field. As of the end of 2023, Bandora had successfully optimized over 16,500 square meters of building space, achieving a remarkable reduction of 215 tons of CO₂ emissions. This significant milestone underscores its commitment to fostering environmentally friendly and efficient building practices.
"Winning the CEO Summit pitch competition in front of such an inspiring group of innovators and investors is an honor," stated Marcia Pereira, Bandora's Founder and CEO. She further emphasized that participating in Eureka Park at CES 2026 presents a vital opportunity for the startup to connect with investors, broaden its global footprint, and share its visionary solutions at a larger scale.
The Consumer Technology Association's CEO Summit reflects its dedication to highlighting innovation across Europe. Gary Shapiro, CEO and Vice Chair of CTA, remarked, "Tech innovation can solve big global challenges and improve millions of lives, and these startups are shaping the future." This commentary emphasizes the potential impact of startups like Bandora in reshaping our approach to global energy challenges.
CES 2026, scheduled for January 6-9, 2026, in Las Vegas, is anticipated to be a hive of activity as 1,400 startups launch their products across diverse global pavilions. One of the major highlights of this year's event will be the presence of Bandora, showcasing its specialized energy management technologies that integrate seamlessly into existing IoT systems, allowing for continuous optimization in real-time.
The excitement does not end there, as the momentum for innovation within the tech sector continues to build leading up to the CES Unveiled Europe event, set for October 28, 2025, in Amsterdam. As Bandora gears up for an impactful presentation in front of global investors and industry leaders, all eyes will be on how it innovatively addresses energy consumption in the built environment, ultimately leading to a sustainable future.
The recognition and visibility gained through platforms such as CES serve as critical avenues for startups aiming to bridge connections and foster relationships with influential players in the technology landscape. Bandora’s groundbreaking approach exemplifies how innovative minds can lead to productive solutions that harmonize technology with pressing environmental needs.
