City National Bank Reopens Palisades Village Branch
In a heartwarming development for the Pacific Palisades community, City National Bank has proudly announced the
reopening of its Palisades Village branch. After enduring a period of closure due to the devastating wildfires that swept through Los Angeles County in January 2025, the bank is welcoming back its valued clients with open arms. This reopening represents a significant step towards restoring normalcy for local families and businesses as they continue to recover from the aftermath of the fires.
The Palisades Village branch, which has been serving the community for over a decade, was one of the many businesses impacted by the crisis. With the bank now back in action, residents can once again access essential banking services, which include personal and business banking assistance. This will be particularly beneficial for community members who are currently navigating their finances amidst uncertainties related to insurance claims, loans, and cash flow challenges.
Supporting the Community During a Difficult Time
Lindsay Dunn, City National's executive vice president and head of Personal & Business Banking, expressed enthusiasm about the branch's return. He remarked, "Reopening our branch doors means welcoming back the neighbors, partners, and business owners we've had the privilege of serving for years." This sentiment is echoed by many residents, as the bank's return provides both physical accessibility and emotional reassurance during a tumultuous time.
To mark this significant reopening, City National is hosting various in-branch activities throughout October, inviting the community to come together and celebrate this milestone. These events will offer locals an opportunity to engage with the bank and reconnect with their banking team.
City National Bank's Commitment to Recovery
In addition to reopening its branch, City National Bank has demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting wildfire relief efforts. Alongside its parent company,
Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), the bank contributed an incredible
$3 million to address immediate and long-term recovery needs in affected areas. This extensive support has facilitated important initiatives such as:
- - Food Security: Over 2 million meals served to those in need.
- - Essential Supplies: 2 million hygiene kits and other household necessities distributed to families.
- - Emergency Shelter: Critical temporary housing provided for over 5,000 households displaced from their homes.
- - Housing Stability: Rental assistance offered to 3,500 households.
To further ease the financial strain on those affected, City National implemented a
three-year mortgage and Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) forbearance period for eligible clients facing hardship as a result of the wildfires. This initiative aims to help families rebuild their financial stability during an uncertain time.
A Welcoming Space for In-Person Banking
The newly renovated Palisades Village branch spans
1,423 square feet and is equipped with two private consultation rooms dedicated to personal banking and mortgage meetings, an ATM, and three service desks for clients. The design of the branch incorporates local artwork and decor that reflects the resilience of the Pacific Palisades community, establishing an inviting environment where clients can feel secure and supported as they pursue their banking needs.
Evelyn Peera, the branch manager, emphasized, "We never stopped serving our Palisades clients — we just couldn't do it physically from here." With the reopening, clients can now walk into the bank to discuss mortgage refinances, business loans, or simply engage in face-to-face consultations with their bankers.
The Palisades Village branch is located at
15273 W. Sunset Blvd, Pacific Palisades, CA 90272 and is open for in-person banking services Monday through Friday from
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The branch's ATM is available 24/7 for added convenience.
