IYU Consulting Group's Generous Gesture

In an inspiring act of generosity, the IYU Consulting Group, which operates 15 locations across Japan and internationally, has donated 150 Christmas gift sets to single-parent families in Isahaya, Nagasaki. This initiative was facilitated through the local welfare association for single-parent families, led by Chairperson Michiko Shimada. The gifts, filled with sweet treats, began to be distributed to member families in early December, bringing holiday cheer to those in need.

A Meaningful Initiative

This year's donation reflects IYU Consulting Group's vision of contributing to a richer future for Japan. According to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, there are approximately 1.42 million single-parent households in Japan, with around 80% being single-mother families. With rising living costs and educational expenses, many families are struggling to afford holiday celebrations, making such support all the more critical.

In response to this growing challenge, IYU Consulting Group initiated this program in 2021, aiming to provide not just material support but also create joyful memories for children and parents. Group representative Yu Iwanaga stated, "We wish to return the kindness we received from our hometown by ensuring the children of Isahaya can have moments filled with joy."

A Fun-Filled Christmas

This year's gifts were designed with the theme of “celebrating Christmas together,” incorporating not just candies and traditional rice cakes but also a special sticker set featuring their mascot, IYU-kun. The group also included decoration supplies and materials for families to enjoy crafting together, enhancing the festive spirit.

Following the gift distribution, many families shared photos and messages of gratitude, expressing how the initiative had facilitated joyful moments during a challenging time. Some messages included:
