Opening of the Second Application Round for the Data Collaboration Support Fund

The Japan Management Association Consulting (JMAC), located in Minato-ku, Tokyo, has been selected by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism as the executing organization for the project promoting data sharing for collaborative distribution and return cargo assurance. Recently, JMAC announced the start of the second application round for the "Data Collaboration Support Fund for Collaborative Distribution and Return Cargo Assurance."

This initiative supports the partial subsidizing of expenses incurred when multiple shippers and logistics service providers, along with logistics solution providers, collaborate to construct and operate an open platform for logistics and commercial flow data. The fund aims to improve logistics efficiency by utilizing logistics information standard guidelines to facilitate collaborative distribution, ensure return cargo, and enhance scheduling and operational management.

During the first application round, some businesses were unable to apply due to preparation reasons. To encourage more ambitious projects, we are now conducting a second application round, providing an opportunity for first-time applicants and those who deferred their application during the first round to reconsider.

This initiative focuses on enhancing logistics efficiency by fostering collaboration among various stakeholders in the logistics field, including shippers, logistics service providers, and logistics solution providers (such as logistics matching services). The goal is to create and maintain an open platform for logistics and commercial flow information, with certain expenses covered by the fund.

Schedule and Important Dates

• - Application Period: From June 20, 2025, at 14:00 to July 24, 2025, at 17:00 (application must arrive by this date).
• - The decision on the allocation of funds for qualifying businesses is expected between mid to late August.
• - Project Duration: From the allocation decision date until February 20, 2026.
