ARCO/Murray Wins Contract for Wylie Water Treatment Plant Expansion

ARCO/Murray, a leader in design-build contracting, has officially been awarded the contract for the Wylie Water Treatment Plant IV Expansion No. 2 by the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD). This groundbreaking initiative is poised to be a significant investment in the sustainability of the region’s water supply, ensuring that residents have ongoing access to safe drinking water, which is crucial for both individual health and community growth.

The Wylie Water Treatment Plant is strategically located just north of Dallas, and it serves as an essential part of the NTMWD’s potable water infrastructure. Currently, the plant provides for over 2 million residents in the rapidly expanding North Texas region. The expansion aims to bolster its capacity, preparing for a projected population increase that could add an additional 2 million residents in the near future.

Patrick Hidder, Executive Vice President of ARCO/Murray, expressed the company’s commitment to community welfare, stating, “This project directly impacts the health and quality of life for our communities. We are proud to partner with NTMWD, AECOM, and Jacobs to deliver the facilities needed to provide safe, reliable water to families and businesses for decades to come.
