An Immersive Experience

The store's design has been commissioned to FLOOAT, a design studio that has conceptualized a space reflecting the three pillars of bororo: Stone, Travel, and Craftsmanship. It’s not merely a place to observe jewelry; rather, it is a sensory experience that invites visitors to feel the memories tied to the stones and the essence of the journeys they represent. Visitors will find themselves in a tranquil environment that allows them to appreciate both the aesthetic and emotional narratives of the materials used.

Press Preview and Opening Reception

Ahead of the grand opening, a press preview will be held on May 29, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by an opening reception from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Director Akiko Akachi will personally guide guests through the new space, sharing insights about bororo’s creation process and the unique stories behind each stone.

Jewelry Concept – Rock Ring

One of the highlights of the launch will be the introduction of the Rock Ring, a new addition to bororo's signature Rock series, crafted from precious metal. It embodies bororo’s ongoing exploration of the relationship between stones and metal, providing a fresh take on the series’ artistic allure. The jewels vibrantly express the beauty of nature while offering exclusive pieces that have been meticulously curated from bororo's special collection, available for purchase. Prices will start at 118,800 yen.

Located on the second floor of the FROM1st Building, bororo Aoyama is designed to resonate with the cultural heritage of its surroundings. The space captures the essence of travels taken to source the stones and reflects the craftsmanship passed down through generations of Japanese artisans. With the opening, bororo will also reveal a newly designed logo by graphic designer Junya Maezima, which captures the brand’s organic nuances while introducing a refined aesthetic to signify its evolution.

In a groundbreaking first, bororo has developed an original fragrance, aptly named bororo Scent, inspired by minerals and rocks collected from various locations around the world. This unique scent, crafted in collaboration with SUI scent studio’s Mr. Sari, aims to evoke the memories of the stones and the atmosphere of their origins. The first edition will draw upon minerals from Madagascar, bridging the sensory experience beyond sight to scent.

In partnership with Bole COFFEE & ICECREAM, bororo will offer delightful “gemstone ice cream” at the opening event, highlighting the multi-faceted experience that bororo strives to create through jewelry, space, scent, and culinary delights.
