Grand Opening of Monnaka SAUNAS LO: A Local Wellness Retreat

Monnaka SAUNAS LO: A New Era of Daily Sauna Experience

The highly anticipated Monnaka SAUNAS LO is set to launch on September 18, 2026. Nestled within the Conforia Liv Monzen Nakacho EAST, this wellness retreat emerges as a project by TOYOKE, a company renowned for its expertise in spa facilities and plant-based food development. Collaborating with Tokyu Land Corporation and managed by East Co., Ltd., this sauna complex positions itself uniquely to cater both to the local community and to residents who can enjoy complimentary access.

Concept of Monnaka SAUNAS LO

Monnaka SAUNAS LO aspires to redefine the concept of a “daily sauna” by being more than just a bathing facility; it aims to be a part of the everyday life of its visitors. The name “LO” conveys two core ideas: LOCAL, emphasizing community roots, and LOOP, denoting a place that encourages repetition and regular visits as a routine for relaxation and wellness. Drawing inspiration from the historical essence of Monzen Nakacho, this sauna aims to blend the inclusive spirit of traditional sento (public baths) with the minimalist and functional designs offered by modern saunas.

Detailed Sauna Experience

1. SOUND Sauna (Men's Bath)

SOUND, the third sauna in the SAUNAS series, boasts a state-of-the-art sound system fine-tuned for acoustic optimization. The design, featuring red cedar wood, aims at providing an immersive auditory experience. The iconic triangular ceiling is meticulously designed to prevent standing waves—an acoustic phenomenon causing distortion—allowing patrons to envelop themselves in exceptionally clear sound while enjoying the heat.

2. KERÄTÄ Sauna (Men's Bath)

KERÄTÄ presents a unique oval sauna layout that surrounds the stove, ensuring evenly distributed heat. Designed with an emphasis on delivering uniform warmth throughout the space, it promises a thoroughly pleasant sauna experience, relaxing both the body and mind effectively.

3. MUSTA Sauna (Men's Bath)

MUSTA offers a serene environment with subdued tones to promote meditation. The sauna maintains optimal humidity levels to ensure comfort and provides an ideal space for deep relaxation, free from any feeling of suffocation.

4. TERVE Sauna (Women’s Bath)

In contrast, TERVE is bright and airy, welcoming up to ten guests. This spacious sauna features self-service steam functions, allowing users to enjoy delightful aromas and steam at any time, providing a gentle refresh for both body and spirit.
