Daikanyama Tsutaya Bookstore, located in the Shibuya district of Tokyo, is excited to announce the launch of a unique group exhibition titled 'Y Intersection'. This exhibition runs from September 18 to October 5, 2026, and features the work of six prominent creators: unpis, Noriyuki Oka, Moe Otsu, Takuto Kadokura, Takuya Kawaguchi, and millitsuka. The creators come from diverse fields and will present original pieces and products centered around the theme of peace.

Exhibition Details

The title 'Y Intersection' refers to a fork in the road where choices diverge. In our fast-paced modern world, we often face numerous choices and crossroads in life. This exhibition aims to celebrate these moments of divergence, interpreting them as a symbol of peace in a shared era. Attendees will explore how respecting the paths of others and maintaining a sense of communal existence can coexist harmoniously.

Related Event: Daikanyama Refreshing Festival

In conjunction with the Daikanyama Refreshing Festival, running from September 18 to September 27, additional initiatives focus on sustainability. The creators will be selling co-created products that emphasize eco-friendliness, alongside workshops that encourage creativity and sustainability.

Limited Products Featuring the Theme of 'Play'

At the exhibition, visitors will discover a range of limited edition products inspired by the theme of 'play'. Collaborating with participating companies from the festival, these items include:

• - Original Charms by Nippon Woolen Co. and abode Co. — made from recycled materials, including felt created from retired school uniforms, each charm doubles as a decorative garland displaying the creators' playful spirit.
• - Unique Products by SHITSURAE — crafted from repurposed acrylic materials and other remnants, showcasing a stunning one-of-a-kind framing technique that speaks to sustainability.

Workshops: Experience Silk Screening

Two silk-screen workshops will take place on September 26 and 27, from 11 AM to 6 PM. Participants will learn about sustainable production processes, including a made-to-order model to eliminate overproduction. The inks used in this workshop will incorporate recycled cosmetic powders, showcasing an innovative approach to environmental consciousness.

Additionally, participants can print original designs created by the exhibiting artists on eco-friendly T-shirts. These shirts are made from plant-based materials and are designed for composting after use, ensuring minimal environmental impact.
