FANCL Hosts Kids' Skincare Workshop at Miyazaki Children's Cultural Center

FANCL Hosts Educational Skincare Workshop for Kids

Recently, FANCL joined forces with Asuha Corporation to organize a parent-child workshop focused on skincare at the Miyazaki Children's Cultural Center located in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. This event attracted around 20 elementary school students along with their parents, providing a unique opportunity for learning about skincare in a fun and interactive environment.

Learning About Skin and the Environment

The workshop featured an informative session led by a FANCL employee, where participants learned about the vital connection between skin health and environmental issues. With rising temperatures leading to increased UV exposure and pollution from PM2.5, the importance of understanding how external factors affect skin was emphasized. Engaging quiz formats were employed to break down complex topics regarding skin functions and the specific characteristics of children's skin.

Hands-On Skincare Practice

The latter part of the workshop provided hands-on experience with the FANCL Clear-Up skincare series designed specifically for young children. Parents and their children were guided through the steps of a proper skincare routine, making the experience both educational and practical.

Participants began the practical session by measuring their skin's moisture level using a hydrometer. Afterward, they used the Clear-Up foam cleanser for a gentle and thorough face wash. Following the cleansing, each participant applied the gel milk moisturizer to balance hydration and sebum levels before measuring their skin moisture levels once again.

Positive Feedback from Participants

The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive. One child expressed, “I learned that by taking good care of my skin, it can stay hydrated, so I want to keep doing this.” A parent shared, “It was a great opportunity to learn the right skincare practices alongside my child.” Another parent noted, “I was reminded of the importance of skincare, and I plan to incorporate these practices into our daily routine.” Many parents also mentioned how this experience inspired them to reflect on their own skincare habits and looked forward to exploring skincare together with their children.

Continuing the Journey

FANCL is committed to providing continuous educational opportunities for children entering the prepubescent stage where they experience skin changes. The company aims to equip them with the correct knowledge and optimal skincare habits to ensure healthy skin for years to come.
