Sega has exciting news for fans of the Yakuza series! The company is set to release digitally revamped versions of popular titles: Yakuza 0: The Place of Oath Director's Cut, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 on December 8, 2025, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, along with a PC release on Steam.

For those who already own earlier versions, there's good news. Sega announced exclusive discounts for existing purchasers of these titles.

Yakuza 0: The Place of Oath Director's Cut

If you own the PS4, Xbox One, or Steam version of Yakuza 0: The Place of Oath, you can purchase the new Director's Cut edition for just 1,950 yen (tax included) on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or Steam.

However, please note that this discount does not apply to PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass users, nor does it apply to physical copies of the game. Importantly, save data from the previous versions will not transfer to the Director's Cut edition.

Yakuza Kiwami

For those who purchased Yakuza Kiwami on PS4 or Xbox One before December 7, 2025, you’ll be able to snag the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S version for only 110 yen (tax included) starting December 8.

Similar restrictions apply as with Yakuza 0, meaning that purchases via PlayStation Plus, Xbox Game Pass, and physical copies are excluded from this offer. An updated version with additional languages for the Steam version is set to launch on December 9, 2025, and more details for existing Steam owners will be shared on official channels.

Yakuza Kiwami 2

Lastly, if you own the PS4 or Xbox One version of Yakuza Kiwami 2 before December 7, you can grab the latest edition on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S for just 110 yen (tax included) from December 8 onward.

Again, make sure to note the restrictions regarding PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass. An updated version of the Steam edition also arrives on December 9.
