The Exhibition
The
"Renoir x Cézanne" exhibition, running from
May 29, 2025, to September 7, 2025, showcases approximately
50 works from these two influential figures of Impressionism and Post-Impressionism. This unique exhibition is presented in collaboration with the
Orangerie Museum and the
Orsay Museum in France as part of a world tour, making it the only venue in Japan. The exhibition features iconic pieces such as Renoir’s
"Girls at the Piano" and Cézanne’s
"Portrait of the Artist's Son." It highlights both artists' portraits, still lifes, and landscapes, as well as works that influenced modern art, including pieces from
Picasso.
As visitors explore the dynamic relationship between Renoir and Cézanne, they'll witness the transition towards modern artistic expression, providing a vivid understanding of the origins of modern art.
