BENOIT NIHANT Opens Its First Japanese Department Store
Belgium's acclaimed chocolate brand,
BENOIT NIHANT, is gearing up to inaugurate its first-ever permanent location at
Seibu Ikebukuro on September 17, 2025. This exciting venture not only marks a significant milestone for the brand but also enhances the gourmet chocolate offerings in Japan, renowned for its diverse culinary landscape.
The new store will feature a meticulously curated selection of chocolate products, showcasing the brand's commitment to quality and flavor. Customers can look forward to an assortment of
chocolate tablets, bonbon chocolates, and baked goods. A particular highlight will be the exclusive offering of
fresh pastries, including tarts and tiramisus, designed to elevate the customer experience through rich flavors and textures. To celebrate the launch, BENOIT NIHANT will debut a limited-edition Mont Blanc dessert, promising a unique taste that pays homage to the brand's Belgian heritage.
About BENOIT NIHANT and Its Unique Approach
Founded in 2006, BENOIT NIHANT embodies a philosophy of using only the finest single-origin cacao beans, focusing on
'single farm' and 'single variety' principles. This dedication allows the artisan chocolatier, Benoit Nihant, to highlight the unique terroirs where the cacao is grown, presenting chocolates that reflect their distinct origins. The company recently expanded to Japan with the opening of its
Ginza store in 2023 and currently operates two locations in Tokyo, including the new Ikebukuro store.
Exclusive Mont Blanc Desserts
The store is set to introduce the
'Mont Blanc with Peruvian Cacao' priced at
1,280 yen (including tax) and the
'Mont Blanc with Kumamoto Chestnuts' at
1,080 yen (including tax). The Mont Blanc made from Peruvian cacao features a floral aroma with fruity flavors reminiscent of plums and cherries, providing a delightful contrast with its crispy tart shell. The second offering, using chestnuts from Kumamoto, blends the sweet nuttiness of the chestnuts with rich guatemalan cacao ganache, creating a gourmet experience that reflects BENOIT NIHANT's commitment to quality and authenticity.
Both Mont Blanc variations use rum in their almond cream layer, adding depth to their flavor profiles.

To celebrate the store's grand opening, BENOIT NIHANT is launching two exciting promotional campaigns:
1.

September 17 to September 19, 2025, customers can purchase a set of two exclusive Mont Blanc desserts for
