As the season transitions into autumn, PARADIS Koishikawa, a charming patisserie operated by Balnibarbi, is set to delight dessert lovers with their latest offerings. Starting from October 1, 2023, two exquisite parfaits will grace their menu: the Fleur Parfait, inspired by the aromatic sweet osmanthus, and the Fig Brulee Parfait, elegantly celebrating the bounty of fresh figs.

The Fig Brulee Parfait takes center stage with fresh figs, indulging your taste buds with a rich sweetness and a delightful nutty aroma. This creation features rare French black figs known as Bioré-Solies, along with Aoki Farms’ ripe figs, carefully selected for their quality based on daily availability. The parfait masterfully layers spiced compote and tea jelly, finishing with a creamy blend of burnt butter caramel ice cream and rich crème brûlée. With pecan nuts, parmesan cheese crumble, and a flaky pie texture, this dessert accentuates the figs' splendid flavors. Note that the specific figs may vary due to market conditions, but the quality remains meticulously upheld.

Representing autumn’s fragrant charm, the Fleur Parfait enchants with the sweet scent of osmanthus. This creation artfully combines osmanthus jelly, poached Japanese pears, and pear sorbet, enhanced with mascarpone and chestnut creams for a creamy finish. Freshly sliced Japanese pears and caramelized rice puffs, paired with airy meringue and crispy cookies, contribute delightful textures that enhance the experience. This parfait provides a unique opportunity to savor the essence of autumn while enjoying complex flavors.
