Hotel Agora Moriguchi in Osaka will host its annual exquisite dining experience, “The Chef’s Table at Agora,” on October 29, 2025. This one-night-only event promises a remarkable gastronomic journey featuring a special course titled “GOSAI” — a term that means five colors in Japanese, highlighting the diverse skills of five talented chefs.

The event will take place from 7 PM to 9 PM, with an aperitif available from 6:30 PM. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, as the reception may be busy. The venue is the elegant Royal Prince Room located on the second floor. The highlight of the evening is undoubtedly the extraordinary course, “GOSAI,” which will offer a harmonious fusion of French, Japanese, and Cantonese cuisine. Guests can expect a delightful array of dishes that tell a story with every bite.

Among the culinary masterpieces to be presented is a decadent dish of lobster gratin served with a rich crème de vert sauce and adorned with micro herbs, a treat for seafood lovers. Additionally, the roasted fillet of domestic beef promises to be a show-stopper, showcasing the chefs' expertise and passion.

The menu includes exquisite creations by the talented chefs:
  • - Masahiko Miyagaki: Jade Plum Wine Jelly with Shrimp, Chrysanthemum Sushi, and Crab with Sea Urchin and Okra.
  • - Mio Tanahashi: A terrine of Eel and Savory Pancake with Roasted Persimmon.
  • - Koichi Mito: Steamed Soup With Pork, Dried Shrimp, and Colorful Root Vegetables.
  • - Toshiyuki Ueno: Lobster Gratin with a Unique Sauce and Micro Herbs.
  • - Shinichi Maki: Sorbet of Cheese served with Shine Muscat Grapes.

Moreover, the evening will include satisfying sweet treats, such as Earl Grey Chocolate with Sautéed Pear and Passion Fruit Sauce, alongside a delightful selection of mignardises. Guests can enjoy coffee or tea, and the price of 22,000 yen per person includes service fees and taxes.

About the Head Chef

Ueno has held esteemed positions at various international hotels and has collaborated with top chefs worldwide, including the legendary Paul Bocuse. His accolades include winning competitions and being a valued member of multiple culinary associations.
