Tokyo Parking Management Corporation Goes Digital with Online Contracting System

Tokyo Parking Management Corporation Goes Digital

In an effort to modernize parking management, the Tokyo Parking Management Corporation (TPMC) has partnered with Hatch Work, a company based in Minato, Tokyo, to develop an innovative online contracting system for its parking spaces. Scheduled to go live on June 2, 2025, this system streamlines the process of leasing parking spaces, which previously relied heavily on traditional paperwork and phone inquiries.

Background of the Online System

Historically, parking management at TPMC involved a cumbersome process where users would contact the office via a form, and then staff would handle the paperwork manually. This not only led to delays but also required extensive phone support to handle numerous inquiries. Recognizing these challenges, TPMC sought a solution to improve user convenience while enhancing operational efficiency.

Benefits of the New System

The new online system developed by Hatch Work promises to deliver several significant benefits:

1. Convenient Online Contracts: Users can complete their parking contract entirely online, eliminating the need for in-person visits or phone calls. This not only saves time but allows users to manage their contracts from anywhere at any time.

2. Personalized User Portal: Each contractor will have access to a dedicated user portal, allowing for the management of contract details, inquiries, and various procedures easily online. This reduces the reliance on phone support, simplifying the overall process.

3. Increased Operational Efficiency: By implementing the online contract system, TPMC anticipates significant reductions in administrative burdens associated with document creation, printing, mailing, and management, along with a decrease in phone inquiries.

Why Hatch Work was Chosen

Hatch Work was selected for this project due to their extensive experience in developing online leasing systems for parking spaces. Their proven track record in addressing similar challenges and their commitment to adding value through innovative solutions were key factors that built trust with TPMC. Furthermore, Hatch Work's longstanding expertise in user engagement and their initiatives aimed at redefining parking spaces added to their appeal.

Looking Ahead

Both Hatch Work and TPMC are dedicated to ensuring the system operates smoothly and continues to evolve based on user feedback. This ongoing commitment aims to create a more user-friendly experience for both the management and car park users.
