FamilyMart, headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, has recently announced an exciting expansion of its popular hometown tax program, which now includes alcoholic beverages for the first time. Starting from August 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM, individuals can get their hands on six new products from three participating local governments: Yawata City in Kyoto, Sakura City in Chiba, and Yokkaichi City in Mie Prefecture. Among these offerings is the long-awaited introduction of shochu cups from Yokkaichi City, marking a significant milestone in FamilyMart's hometown tax initiatives.

In response to the rising cost of living, there has been a growing interest in hometown tax donations as a way to alleviate household burdens. With this latest lineup, customers can enjoy a selection of everyday essentials from FamilyMart's private label, Famimaru, including:

- - 100% mandarin and orange juice (1L from Sakura City, Chiba)
- - Fresh caramel latte (from Yawata City, Kyoto)
- - Two types of shochu cups (from Yokkaichi City, Mie)
