This new facility is situated between the Bando Interchange and Joso Interchange on the expressway, which is crucial for enhancing both safety and convenience for travelers. The official opening is scheduled for January 31, 2024, at 3 PM.

Environmentally Friendly Features

This facility is designed with sustainability in mind, employing energy-efficient lighting and ventilation systems, as well as solar panels for renewable energy generation to achieve a Nearly ZEB (Zero Energy Building) status. This means that while users enjoy a comfortable environment, they also contribute to eco-friendly practices.

Community Integration

In a nod to local culture, the area will feature cherry blossoms, specifically the Benisashima variety, planted throughout the grounds, adding regional character and encouraging visitors to appreciate the local flora. There are benches positioned strategically to provide personal space for relaxation, allowing visitors to unwind during their travels.

Families visiting the Bando PA will have access to specially designed family restrooms that include facilities for diaper changing. Additionally, Bando City's beloved mascots, Neji-ji and Neji-ba, will be featured on the walls to create a welcoming atmosphere for families.

Commercial Facilities

A FamilyMart convenience store will be a key component of the Bando PA, mirroring offerings found in urban areas. Visitors can savor freshly brewed coffee from the FAMIMA CAFÉ, grab hot snacks like the popular Famichiki, and explore various community products such as Shoumon Senbei, a local specialty.

Highway Stamp Attraction

This new rest area will also feature a unique Highway Stamp, designed in collaboration with local schools. This initiative aims to promote regional engagement among students, who had the opportunity to participate in selecting the stamp design, thereby encouraging them to discover and share the area's attractions.
