Freedom Mortgage Becomes Title Sponsor of Military Bowl in Long-term Partnership

Freedom Mortgage Takes the Helm as Title Sponsor of Military Bowl

The Military Bowl Foundation has officially announced that Freedom Mortgage, a prominent name in the mortgage industry, will serve as the title sponsor for the Military Bowl for the next three years. This significant partnership reflects Freedom Mortgage's dedication to supporting military service members and their families. The bowl game will be branded as the Freedom Mortgage Military Bowl, with the inaugural game set for December at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland.

The announcement was made by Steve Beck, President and Executive Director of the Military Bowl Foundation, who expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with Freedom Mortgage. He noted, “We are thrilled to partner with a company that shares our commitment to honoring our nation's service members.” Freedom Mortgage has a track record of aiding service members through affordable VA loans and actively participating in charitable efforts via its philanthropic branch, Freedom Cares.

The upcoming 2026 Freedom Mortgage Military Bowl will feature matchups from the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and the American Conference and will be broadcasted on ESPN. Freedom Mortgage's CEO, Stanley C. Middleman, emphasized the importance of the Military Bowl in paying tribute to the sacrifices made by service members, stating, “As one of the nation's leading VA lenders, supporting veterans and active-duty service members through homeownership is at the core of what we do.”

A Celebration of Service

Beyond football, the Military Bowl serves as a platform to honor military personnel and their contributions. The event is known for bringing together fans, athletes, and military communities. This year, attendees will enjoy various activities, including Military Bowl Eve, before the main event. The partnership with Freedom Mortgage also benefits Patriot Point, a 294-acre retreat for wounded and ill service members and their families, further solidifying the initiative’s commitment to community support.

The Military Bowl has gained momentum since its inception, aimed at providing a festive environment that celebrates college football while acknowledging the sacrifices of service members. Last year, East Carolina triumphed over Pitt with a nail-biting score of 23-17, showcasing the competitive spirit and sporting excellence the event embodies.

The Importance of Community Engagement

Freedom Mortgage's involvement not only highlights its business model but also underscores the social responsibility that comes alongside corporate sponsorship. As it steps onto the national stage, the organization aims to amplify its efforts in supporting military families through various programs and initiatives designed to improve homeownership accessibility.

The collaboration was facilitated by Excel Sports Management’s Properties Division, which played a pivotal role in establishing the partnership between the Military Bowl Foundation and Freedom Mortgage.
