UPSIDER's UPs Community Event: Fostering Connections and Growth

On September 19, 2025, the UPs community, backed by UPSIDER, hosted its seventh in-person event titled "UPs meet up! vol.7". This gathering provided a platform for participants to engage in meaningful discussions about their aspirations and career visions through workshops and dialogues. The theme of the event was centered around the idea of becoming the person one wants to be, promoting a culture of mutual support and encouragement among challengers.

Understanding the UPs Community

The UPs community is a user-driven initiative where members of UPSIDER come together to organize and manage events. Launched in December 2023 after a preliminary event, the community aims to create a supportive culture that transcends organizational and positional boundaries. In February 2024, a Slack channel was opened to facilitate daily exchanges of inquiries, ideas, and knowledge, allowing real-time collaboration. Participants range from startups to publicly traded companies, all united in their commitment to support each other's challenges. UPSIDER’s mission to create a global financial platform to support challengers complements this initiative by providing the necessary resources and environments for community operation.

Event Overview: UPs Meet Up vol.7

The event took place at the new office of 株式会社YOUTRUST from 7 PM to 9 PM and welcomed an array of UPSIDER users. The program was organized into three segments: a special session, group work, and an interaction session, all aimed at fostering learning and sharing experiences on career paths and personal ambitions.

Opening Remarks

The event commenced with a warm welcome from Ami Yokoyama, the community manager representing 株式会社Linc’well. Her opening speech set a vibrant tone, promoting an atmosphere of challenge and mutual encouragement that made it easier for first-time participants to engage. The warm and spacious venue at 株式会社YOUTRUST encouraged social interaction and set the stage for fruitful exchanges.

Special Session

In the special session, Yoshiki Tanaka, Director of the Corporate Planning Department of 株式会社YOUTRUST, shared his personal values and decision-making processes throughout his career. Facilitated by Tomoki Hayase from KIRINJI and 株式会社クリプトリエ, this session attracted significant interest and deepened dialogue among attendees.

Group Work

Following the special session, participants engaged in group work focusing on the "As is / To be analysis". Each individual reflected on their current self (As is) and envisioned their future self (To be). This unique exercise encouraged participants to identify specific actions to take toward their aspirations, which many felt was a rare opportunity to explore such topics deeply.

Interaction Session

The interaction session allowed attendees to enjoy delicious catering while mingling with each other. The friendly atmosphere fostered open discussions around career challenges and future prospects, topics often left unspoken in their daily lives.
