Texas Builders Celebrate New Leadership and Honor Industry Icons at Annual Event
On November 20, 2024, the Texas Association of Builders (TAB) hosted its annual Excellence in Leadership Dinner at Hyatt Lost Pines Resort in Bastrop, Texas. This year's gathering not only marked the installation of their new 2025 President but also the induction of three notable individuals into the Texas Housing Hall of Honor.
Leadership Installations
During the dazzling affair, Brett Martin from Tilson Custom Home Builders was ceremoniously sworn in as the 78th President of TAB, succeeding Don Allen, who held the position through 2024. The new senior officers of TAB were also installed during the Board of Directors meeting held the following day, further solidifying the leadership that will guide the association in the forthcoming year.

- - Immediate Past President: Don Allen, Aberdeen Land Company LLC – Fort Worth, Texas
These officers are entrusted with great responsibilities, including upholding the association's bylaws and advocating for the interests of the industry in Texas.
Honoring Industry Leaders
The Texas Housing Hall of Honor is a prestigious recognition reserved for those who have made significant contributions to the housing sector in Texas. This year, the honors went to three impactful figures:

Harold Peek, Peek Properties – Dallas, TX
3.
Larry D. Johnson (posthumously), founder of Johnson Development – Houston, TX
These inductees represent excellence in the fields of building, development, and community service, and their legacies continue to inspire the current generation of builders and contractors across Texas.
The Hall of Honor celebrates the diverse contributions of builders, remodelers, trades professionals, suppliers, and government officials who have dedicated their careers to the Texas housing industry.
