Experience the Flavors of Autumn at the Niigata Fair in Kichijoji

Discover the Autumn Flavors of Niigata at Kichijoji Tokyu REI Hotel

From October 1 to November 30, 2025, the Kichijoji Tokyu REI Hotel is hosting a unique culinary event titled "Niigata Journey - Autumn Colorful Delicacies" at its restaurant, Inokashira Kichijo Dining. This special fair is a homage to the hotel’s 43rd anniversary, which will be celebrated in November 2025. The event features a carefully crafted menu by Head Chef Toru Katanosaka, aimed at presenting the rich agricultural and seasonal bounty of Niigata.

The fair highlights premium ingredients sourced directly from Niigata, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the local food culture while enjoying innovative dishes that reflect the uniqueness of the region. Each month, the menu will vary, allowing visitors to experience different aspects of Niigata's gastronomic offerings.

October Menu Highlights (October 1 - 31, 2025)

The experience begins with an array of appetizers including "Miyuki Masu" (a type of trout) raised in Niigata, and "Tochio fried tofu," a local soul food with a rich history. The main seafood dish is a bouillabaisse-style saffron soup featuring fresh fish caught directly from Iwafune Port, served with garlic toast. This delightful dish bursts with the umami of seafood while enriched with aromatic tomatoes and herbs, offering a complex and satisfying flavor profile.

November Menu Highlights (November 1 - 30, 2025)

As the autumn chill sets in, the meat course showcases "Beer-braised Nagaoka pork belly with Yezo mushrooms, ala carbonnade." This indulgent dish features melt-in-your-mouth pork paired with succulent mushrooms. To finish the meal, indulge in a delightful dessert of brown rice ice cream from Sekishin Industries in Nagaoka City, alongside a sweet sake-infused blancmange with mango sauce. This sweet finale is a beautiful culmination of flavors, offering a hint of the aromatic and nutty essence of brown rice.
