Engage Kids' Creativity in Agriculture with Interactive Game Ideas Contest

Introduction
In celebration of Children's Day on May 5, 2025, Metagri Lab, a community promoting agriculture through Web3, is organizing an innovative competition titled "Let's Grow Agricultural Game Ideas Together!" This initiative invites children and adults alike to submit their creative ideas for new mini-games centered around agriculture and food. The best idea will be developed into a playable game using the Unity engine by our interns.

Background: Cultivating Interest in Future Agriculture Through Play

At Metagri Lab, we believe in instilling the significance and allure of agriculture in the minds of future generations. Our interns have been actively developing agricultural-themed mini-games, such as a "Click Game" that protects crops from pests and a "Timing Game" where players compete for the optimal harvest moment. These games provide a fun and engaging way to experience farming dynamics.

Project Overview: Let's Grow Agricultural Game Ideas Together!

The competition aims to spark interest in agriculture and food by allowing participants to express their thoughts on what farming games should look like. Whether it's, “This type of farming game would be fun!” or “Let’s make a game about this agricultural task!” everyone is encouraged to submit their ideas regardless of age.

Objectives

- To stimulate children's interest in agriculture and food through gaming.
- To discover new agricultural game concepts through collaboration with users.
- To provide interns an opportunity to showcase their game development skills while presenting the fruits of their labor.

Submission Guidelines

Participants are invited to submit simple, PC-compatible mini-game ideas focusing on agriculture and food.

Application Period

From May 5, 2025 (public holiday) to May 16, 2025.

Development Process

The winning idea will be brought to life as a mini-game by interns at Metagri Lab, using the Unity engine, with the goal of completion and release within 2025.

Eligibility

Anyone interested in agriculture or gaming is welcome to participate, with a special encouragement for middle and elementary school students to share their innovative ideas.

Selection Criteria

Ideas will be evaluated based on "entertainment value," "originality," "relevance to agriculture," and "feasibility as a mini-game" by Metagri Lab's members and interns.

Announcement of Results

Winners will be announced on our website and via email to participants, between late May and early June 2025.

Grand Prize (1 Winner)

- Your idea will be turned into a game! Our interns will create a mini-game based on your concept.
- Special credit will be given in the completed game, with your name (or nickname) featured (optional).
- A fresh produce gift box worth 3,000 yen delivered directly from partner farmers.
- Metagri Membership NFT: A special NFT worth 10,000 yen, signifying your belonging to the Metagri community.
