Leopard Imaging Unveils Cutting-Edge Camera Technology at CES 2026

Leopard Imaging Inc., a renowned leader in intelligent vision solutions, will be showcasing its latest innovation at CES 2026 scheduled for January 6-9 in Las Vegas. The company is launching the Time-of-Flight (ToF) MIPI camera model LI-AF0130-VCL-MIPI-085H, which utilizes the cutting-edge onsemi Hyperlux™ ID iToF sensor. This new camera represents a significant leap in depth-sensing technology, designed to meet the demands of various sectors including automotive, robotics, and industrial applications.

The Time-of-Flight technology works by measuring the duration it takes for emitted light to reach an object and return, with the LI-AF0130-VCL-MIPI-085H utilizing advanced indirect ToF calculations to create a high-fidelity depth map from a single sensor. This feature is particularly beneficial for achieving accurate three-dimensional measurements in real-time. The ToF camera is equipped with a 1.2 MP smart iToF BSI CMOS global shutter depth sensor, capable of providing a resolution of 1280 x 960 at up to 60 frames per second. For applications requiring ultra-fast processing, it offers up to 100 fps at VGA resolution, making it optimal for scenarios with low latency demands such as robot navigation and gesture recognition.

In order to overcome the challenges associated with previous imaging technologies, the LI-AF0130-VCL-MIPI-085H integrates on-camera depth computation, which simplifies the overall system complexity and effectively offloads processing tasks from the main host system. This innovative design mitigates previously encountered motion artifacts, enhancing the user experience in dynamic environments.

With depth sensing capabilities ranging from 0.2 meters to 10 meters, this advanced camera ensures stable and precise depth data for both near-field and mid-range applications. Additionally, equipped with four laser emitters, the device excels in unfavorable lighting conditions, thereby expanding its effective range and ensuring reliable 3D perception across diverse real-world scenarios.

Customarily designed with a global shutter architecture and MIPI interface, the camera seamlessly integrates into a variety of embedded systems. The LI-AF0130-VCL-MIPI-085H caters specifically to applications like:
  • - Robot navigation and obstacle avoidance
  • - 3D reconstruction and mapping
  • - Depth sensing and gesture control
  • - Facial recognition and access control

Attendees can witness live demonstrations of these cutting-edge imaging solutions at the Leopard Imaging booth No. 9468 in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center during CES 2026.
