Imperial Treasure, a Michelin 7-Star Chinese Jewel, Launches in Ginza

Imperial Treasure: A Culinary Masterpiece in Ginza

On April 27, 2025, Japanese gourmets can look forward to the sensational debut of the Michelin 7-star restaurant, Imperial Treasure, in the bustling district of Ginza, Tokyo. With a storied history and a treasure trove of accolades, this renowned Chinese restaurant originated in Singapore and has become synonymous with luxury dining.

Since its establishment in 2004, Imperial Treasure has prided itself on its commitment to culinary excellence, utilizing only the finest ingredients and traditional cooking techniques to craft dishes that are both innovative and steeped in tradition. With over 50 prestigious awards to its name and a devoted following amongst culinary enthusiasts around the globe, it is celebrated for its superb service and extraordinary dining experience.

Dining Experience

The new Ginza location promises an exquisite environment, ideally located just a two-minute walk from the Ginza station, perfect for business meetings and private gatherings alike. It boasts a sophisticated design with 54 seating options, featuring fully private rooms for intimate dining as well as semi-private spaces that maintain a lively atmosphere.

Each dining area is adorned with intricate carvings by Japanese artisans, merging the elegance of Japanese craftsmanship with Imperial Treasure's distinct charm. This coupling creates an ambiance that is both unique and memorable.

At Imperial Treasure, guests can indulge in a rich array of Chinese cuisines that span across various regional specialties, including Cantonese, Shanghai, Chaozhou, and Huaiyang dishes. The restaurant’s signature dish—a must-try for patrons—is the legendary Peking Duck. This delicacy is meticulously aged for about 40 days, then expertly roasted to achieve the perfect crispness of its skin, served alongside homemade crepes, ensuring a delightful taste experience.

Other notable dishes include Deep-Fried Shrimp Paste with Daitoku Chicken, Clay Pot Rice with Ginger and Crab, and an exquisite Roast Suckling Pig with Glutinous Rice. To commemorate the grand opening, exclusive Ginza specialties such as Stir-Fried Egg White with Sea Urchin and Sweetfish Coated in Rice Flour will also be available.

Impressive Wine Selection

Adding another layer of sophistication, the restaurant offers a carefully curated wine list selected by the chef-sommelier, featuring a range of esteemed wines from renowned French estates like Château Lafite and Château Margaux. Complementary pairings of rare Japanese whiskies, craft sakes, and distinguished Chinese beverages, such as Kweichow Moutai and aged yellow wine, further enhance the fine dining experience.

The focus at Imperial Treasure is on creating an unparalleled harmony between exquisite Chinese cuisine and the perfect wine pairing, elevating each meal to an art form.

Kenny Leon, CEO of Imperial Treasure, expressed his excitement about expanding into Japan: “We are thrilled to bring Imperial Treasure to the Japanese audience.
