In an exciting milestone, the renowned public relations agency Press Kitchen commemorates its 25 years of impactful service with the well-deserved promotion of Amanda Drum to Vice President. This significant appointment, which took effect on July 1, 2025, not only acknowledges Amanda's dedication but also signals the agency’s commitment to embrace innovation and excellence in the ever-evolving field of public relations.
Amanda Drum's Journey
Amanda has been a vital part of the Press Kitchen team for a decade. Her journey began as an intern while she pursued her Master's degree in Rhetoric and Composition from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. With a strong academic foundation, holding a Bachelor's degree in English from Rollins College, Amanda's rise to VP is a testament to her hard work and strategic thinking.
In her new role, Amanda is tasked with overseeing comprehensive agency strategies, spearheading significant campaigns, and strengthening client relations. She is known for her ability to identify insightful story angles, nurture long-lasting media relationships, and ensure that clients receive the dedication they deserve. Under her leadership, the agency has achieved numerous accolades, including the prestigious Silver PR Stars Under 40 award.
Expansion of the Team
Press Kitchen is not only celebrating this landmark promotion but also expanding its team by welcoming two new members: PR Specialist Skylar Davis and PR Assistant Toby Shapiro.
Skylar joins the agency with fresh ideas, having recently graduated from Florida State University where she specialized in Public Relations. Based in St. Petersburg, she has a rich understanding of media outreach, campaign strategy, and creative storytelling. Her enthusiasm for effective communication positions her well to help brands foster genuine connections with their audiences.
On the other hand, Toby Shapiro, a Chapman University graduate, brings in a strong background in media relations. With a B.A. in Strategic and Corporate Communication and experience from various PR internships, she is set to contribute significantly to the team dynamic at Press Kitchen.
