Delta Community Credit Union's Annual Grant Program

Delta Community Credit Union, the largest credit union in Georgia, has officially opened its applications for the 2026 Philanthropic Fund Program. The program is designed to provide crucial financial support to nonprofits within the metro Atlanta area. This year, a total of $150,000 will be awarded to 20 qualifying organizations that resonate with the credit union's mission of enhancing financial literacy and overall well-being in the community.

Importance of Community Investment

Hank Halter, CEO of Delta Community, emphasized the importance of community investment by stating, "Community investment and engagement are essential to good corporate citizenship." This illustrates the credit union's commitment to not only offering financial services but also empowering local communities through strategic investments. Delta Community allocates a minimum of 2% of its projected annual earnings to various community development programs, ensuring a continuous cycle of support for local families and organizations.

The Philanthropic Fund Program, which has been in place since 2013, has made a substantial impact, contributing around $1.3 million to over 240 organizations. Many of these organizations focus on providing educational, job training, and health services to individuals who are in need. Through such endeavors, Delta Community aims to foster positive change in the communities it serves.
